MISS FORTESCUE/CAPTAIN JIM HIGBEE offer 6 HOUR trips daily from MAY through OCTOBER, leaving DOCK 13 at 7AM. Cost is $45 per person, including children. Rental rods additional $5, if needed. Your rod and tackle are welcome.We provide bait. MISS FORTESCUE is primarily an open 'headboat' which means anyone can come aboard to fish any day of the week without a reservation...ever, (weather permitting and given we have enough people to sail.) Captain Jim Higbee, a 4TH Generation Captain and lifelong resident of Fortescue, has logged over 5,500 trips on the Delaware Bay. MISS FORTESCUE is a 55' vessel, all fiberglass construction featuring Twin 671 GM Diesels and a large enclosed cabin with separate accomodations for men and women. MISS FORTESCUE is licensed for 49 passengers and utilizes GPS, a Full color fish finder, Radar and Ship to Shore radio. Our mate will assist you with boarding, rod rental, tackle, cutting your bait, netting your catch, and fish cleaning . ...don't hesitate to yell out his name if you have a "fish on", a tangled line, or need more bait! It is his job to help you. When fishing, we recommend you bring a cooler, ice, lunch and sunscreen. Ask the mate to take your picture for the website!!! Alcohol is permitted but we take pride in being a family oriented operation. NO UNRULY BEHAVIOR/LANGUAGE IS WELCOME OR TOLERATED. Treat our rod like it is your rod. If you lose it, you buy it. Bait is provided and you're welcome to bring your own.
