07/07/10-A nice breeze until about noon took the heat off of the Bay today. Poolwinner Brandi Petrunis of Bridgeton, NJ bagged a 23" beauty and she showed her fellow fishermen how to bring home the bacon! Another woman with a beauty today was Kelly Nece-Clark visiting from Cary, NC this week. Mr. Ben Carr of W. Deptford, NJ took home dinner. Mark Szymborski, Sr. and son Mark, Jr. of Phila. PA came to fish while vacationing in Wildwood this week. Mark Sr. fished Miss Fortescue with his grandfather when he was a kid, giving Capt. Jim a perspective on age! Dad had 3 keepers and Mark Jr, who is 5 years old, bagged a keeper, along with many throwbacks. Those two had more fish action than Les or I saw today. It was great to see Elmer Patterson visit, who caught the first and last keepers of the day, 2 nice flounder. Major had plenty of throwbacks, too. Minnow and squid seemed to work just fine but the father/son team had a custom lore that proved to be the best for today.
